"I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2nd Timothy 4:7 "Jean Yvette Leonard, a native of Monroe, Louisiana, was born to Alma Jean and Johnnie Leonard, Sr., in Yuma Arizona. She accepted Christ at an early age at the New Tabernacle Baptist Church in Monroe, LA. She was a graduate of Carroll High School in 1982. Upon graduating from Carroll High, she married Kyrone Anderson and had three children. In November 2006, she married her current husband Keith Hawkins. Jean was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who shall be dearly missed by all. She worked as a contractor for the military for over 13 years serving in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. She devoted her life to serving God and helping others. She is survied by her husband; Keith Hawkins of Jackson, MS, three children; LaToya Moore (James) of Orlando, FL; Kyrone Anderson Jr. of Cape May, NJ: Darius Anderson of Jacksonville, FL and a step daughter, KiAna Hawkins of Olive branch, MS; her mother, Alma Jean Moore of Monroe, LA; mother-in-law, Rosie Lee hawkins of Jackson, MS: brothers, Michael Dangerfield and Johnny Leonard, Jr, both of Monroe, LA; two step brothers, Gary Moore (Marilyn) of Dallas, TX and Don Moore (Simone) of Monroe, LA; four sisters, Janice Leonard and Joyce Hartwell both of Houston, TX; Johnnie Mae Burton (Charles) of Cerritos, CA; Jackie Cassey (Charles) of Monroe, LA; her aunt, Janice Reese of Monroe, LA and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
